20 Years. One Mission: To Supercharge Wellbeing

In a nutshell… why NEOM Wellbeing?

When I first blended essential oils in 2005, I wasn’t starting a business, really - I was finding a way to feel better. Working as a journalist, juggling the pressures of modern life, I hit burnout. Looking back, I was just squeezing too much stuff in. I think that it is important to recognise that. It’s not always when you’ve gone through a turbulent time, or something huge has happened when anxiety arises. Even when things are fine, we have to stop and replenish our cup sometimes. The first fragrance I ever made with only pure 100% natural essential oils was Real Luxury, created to help me ease my anxiety. Fast-forward 20 years, and that one blend has grown into a full wellbeing movement. NEOM has helped many people with calm, energy, better sleep, and a boosted mood.

My Favourite Part of Growing NEOM Wellbeing?

Easy. The people. Yes, I love the creative side… developing products, building the brand - but what really is the best part is working with good, decent-spirited humans. People with heart. The kind who show up with energy, curiosity and a drive to make things better. At NEOM, we live by three values… the first, ‘Be a Good Egg’ (yes, that’s a Yorkshire thing!). Two, ‘Attitude is Everything’ and thirdly, ‘Challenge the Status Quo’ – so we surround ourselves with these people because I’ve always said: if you’re going to spend so much time at work, do it with people who have your back.

20 Years, choose (only 4) Standout Moments:

We’ve had some incredible milestones over the years, but the team asked me to only pick a handful, so here goes...

1. In 2018, we launched The Wellbeing Pod - a game-changing moment that brought scent with the power to boost your mood with just one button into people’s homes in a whole new way. It sold out in just four weeks.

2. In 2022, becoming a certified B Corp was a proud turning point - proving that we could grow our business without ever compromising on purpose, people, or planet.

3. Then came 2024, and with it, a personal milestone: I published Four Ways to Wellbeing, a book filled with everything I’d learned about wellbeing myself and from so many experts over two decades.

4. And most recently, in 2025 brought one of best things - NEOM was named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work. Because what we build on the inside - our culture, our values - is just as important as what we create on the outside.
